Hey pet parents,
As the temperature drops, something else rises for our beloved senior pets: joint pain and stiffness. 🥶
Just like in humans, the cold can really affect pets with arthritis, often in ways that are subtle and easy to miss.
Here’s what to watch for this winter:
Subtle Signs of Winter Arthritis:
-
Hesitation to jump on the couch or into the car
-
Moving more slowly or walking shorter distances
-
Stiffness when getting up in the morning
-
Licking or chewing at joints
-
Mood changes (grumpier than usual)

What You Can Do:
✔ Keep your senior pet warm with cozy beds, sweaters, and heating pads
✔ Use rugs or mats to avoid slips on hard floors
✔ Add joint-support supplements (ask your vet!)
✔ Keep them moving with gentle walks or low-impact play
✔ Book regular grooming to help spot and relieve physical tension

Speaking of Grooming…
